Warranty Details
Return to Base Warranty

Our standard Return to Base warranty covers hardware products purchased from us for a one year period.

Return to Base means that it is your responsibility to return the product to our offices, in it's original packaging, within one year of purchase.  Upon receipt of your equipment we will test the product and, if found to be the subject of a warranty claim, return it to the manufacturers for their action

This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in your hardware products.
This warranty does not cover:
Software, including the operating system and software added to the hardware products 
Hardware and accessories not provided by Alien Technologies 
Problems that result from: 
-External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse, or problems with telephone or power lines
-Software or viruses introduced to the system 
-Servicing not authorized by us 
-Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions 
-Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance 
-Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by us
Products with missing or altered service tags or serial numbers 

Products for which we have not received payment

Please note that laptop batteries are subject to only a 6 month warranty.

It is essential that you retain the original packaging as goods must be returned in this in the event of a warranty claim.
What do I do if I need a warranty service:
Call Alien Technologies on 677 633 700 to arrange a mutually convenient time for you to deliver the hardware for our inspection, testing and warranty repairs.
This warranty can be upgraded to on site warranty for an additional fee payable at time of purchase
On Site Warranty
Our standard warranty is a return to base warranty. If you do not wish to disconnect the PC yourself or transport it to us you should upgrade to On-Site Warranty, this means that should you need to make a warranty claim our engineer will come to your home to test and/or repair the PC.  
All other details of the warranty are the same as the Return to Base Warranty as shown above
In some instances it may be necessary for our engineer to collect the PC and bring it to our workshops for further investigation or component replacement.
Anti Virus Products
To protect your system from viruses you are recommended to purchase an anti-virus program.  Please note that this generally needs to be done on an annual basis.
In order for Anti-Virus software to remain effective it is necessary that you keep the virus definitions up to date.
It is your responsibility to register your monitor for warranty with the manufacturer within 7 days of purchase
