iGoogle being retired Many of us enjoy iGoogle as our web browser homepage. We have tweaked it to show the weather around the world, latest news, current events, weight trackers, calendars, to-do lists and many other things but Google have announced that with effect from November 1, 2013 it will no longer be available. What are we all to do then?

Google have released a statement advising us that all these feature are already available through different products that they offer, i.e. Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Finance, Google Docs (now Google Drive), Google Bookmarks, and Google Tasks, but what about the third party gadgets? Unfortunately you will have to visit the webpage of the developer supporting your favourite gadgets and see what alternatives will be available. Many will simply offer smartphone alternatives, others perhaps will allow you to download the program and run it from your desktop, either way, you will no longer be able to enjoy the flexibility of having every thing on just one homepage.
